FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Upon first appearance, directors can be pretty strange creatures. They wear five hats, speak multiple languages and even breath fire from time to time.
But looking deeper, you'll find a real person, filled with ideas, bursting at the seam to express themselves in yet one more and unique way. They are equally comfortable speaking in a more rigid corporate dialect or with the fluid accent of an artist. They are a rare blend of technical and creative. They use science and art interchangeably as they decipher light, sound, balance and proportion and try to craft that code into images that flicker in illusions of motion on the screen.
They are rare, and precious creatures.
INSPIRATION
Growing up in a large family made for plenty of TV time. I LOVED Saturday morning cartoons with my brothers and late night movies with my Dad. We watched a little bit of everything. Some good ol' American classics, and some crazy stuff from Europe and Japan. I see the influence of that eclectic taste in everything I create. Some of my favorite shows and characters are below.
